National Literacy Trust
Transforming lives through literacy
We work to improve reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in communities across the UK, particularly with children and young people who are most disadvantaged.
About the charity
Who they are
The National Literacy Trust is a national charity that transforms lives through literacy. We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to develop strong literacy skills, and that this is the foundation for a lifetime of learning and wellbeing.
Their work
What they do
We run literacy programmes in the most disadvantaged communities across the UK, working in schools, libraries, and community spaces. Our campaigns and resources support children from birth through to adulthood, helping families develop a love of reading and the skills to communicate confidently. Donated Clue Cards are distributed through our network of schools and youth clubs, giving young people a fun and engaging way to build critical thinking and language skills.
